CV Lizard is the UK based service providing help with CV writing. The site itself looks a bit old-fashioned; however, it has information about prices, order description and CV samples. As I was looking to get my CV written by the UK writer at fair price, I thought this site would be a good option.

Price Policy

The decision about purchase depends a lot on the price. The prices on the front page seemed attractive for me: for instance, price for getting your CV edited and re-designed is £19.99, brand new CV is £59.99 and a personal CV consultation in the office is £84.99. My new CV with a cover letter cost me £89. There are also other services available like LinkedIn completion, job board posting etc.

Order Details

After you’ve picked the package, it’s time to proceed to checkout. As soon as I’ve paid, we’ve discussed the time for a phone interview with my resume writer and scheduled it for the next day. I had a session with a writer that last about an hour and during which the writer found out my employment track, achievements, career goals etc. I was promised to get my CV in 24 hours – without paying extra!

Quality of writing and support

The support team is available via phone or chat, but they only work in business hours. As I didn’t choose any extra options, the CV was sent to my email. Everything was written well, and my experience was given in the needed light. However, I noticed that the CV was obviously written in a hurry and contained cliché phrases.

Conclusion

I contacted them via chat to ask is there a way to improve my CV and make it more personal. It took them a while to consider my complaint, and then agreed to revise it. As I realized, here they won’t revise until I’m satisfied, like the guys at CV Resume Writing Services do. I got my CV revised, but I can’t say that removed the problem. That’s why I can’t give them high rating.
